The Journey
Grimmy's journey in the arts began long before Grim House existed. Growing up in Tulsa, witnessing the vibrancy of the local music and art scene, and experiencing the challenges emerging artists face, Grimmy developed a deep understanding of what the community needed: space, resources, and genuine support.
For years, Grimmy worked as a musician, artist, and community organizer, watching opportunities limited for talented but underrepresented voices. The gap between the creative talent in Tulsa and the available platforms became clear. That's when the vision for Grim House took shape—not as a commercial venue, but as a truly artist-centered space.
Grimmy spent countless hours making Grim House a reality, from securing the physical space to building relationships with artists, community partners, and supporters. The result is a venue that reflects the values Grimmy has always believed in: authenticity, accessibility, collaboration, and artistic freedom.
Today, Grim House stands as a testament to what's possible when artists take ownership of their community's creative future. Every show, workshop, and program at Grim House carries Grimmy's original vision forward—a space where Tulsa's artists can create, collaborate, and thrive.
